Imagine the courage it takes for a family to travel to Kathmandu with their child battling cancer, only to face the added stress of finding affordable accommodation. With Warming Hearts Child Cancer Center, we are building a solution, brick by brick.
Warming Hearts is thrilled to announce significant progress on our transit home project! Located in Thapagaun, New Baneshwor, we’ve already completed five rooms within a month of buying the land and starting our project. These rooms can comfortably accommodate five children and their families, offering them a safe shelter during their long and challenging treatment journeys.
The need is real. We’ve already been contacted by 10 other patient families at Kanti Children’s Hospital, desperately seeking the support and stability our transit home will provide. This overwhelming response underscores the critical role Warming Hearts can play in improving the lives of these families.
But our work isn’t done. We urgently need your help to expand the center and accommodate more families. Your donation will directly contribute to building additional rooms, a communal kitchen, a playroom for siblings, and essential services like psychosocial support.
The Centre, at the beginning, will comprise a building of 16 available rooms including.
