After the massive 6.4 ML earthquake that shook Jajarkot to its core, Warming Hearts has been in close communications with the representatives of the affected community and working both on-site & off-site to facilitate the rebuilding process of Jajarkot, working in multiple fronts such as education, healthcare, and food security. Six months into our disaster relief efforts in Jajarkot’s most affected areas, we’ve made significant progress. We provided immediate food and healthcare supplies, and reconstruction of schools is underway. However, a critical challenge remains: food insecurity continues to threaten the rebuilding process.
Through mobile food distribution and community meals, we were able to address the immediate needs of the community. Locals gathered together for a hot, nutritious meal. They also actively took part in preparing and cooking process. Warming Hearts has consistently provided the Jajarkot community with adequate and essential food supplies. These efforts have helped stabilize the situation and allowed families to focus on rebuilding their lives. However, our commitment goes beyond immediate relief.
We understand the importance of ongoing food security. We are exploring sustainable solutions alongside the community, but in the meantime, we will continue to provide necessary food supplies.
