Determined to reestablish the children’s access to formal education, Warming Hearts took a significant step forward. A highly productive DPAC meeting was held in Khalanga, Jajarkot.
Jajarkot, though scarred by hardship, has seen a glimmer of hope. Warming Hearts’ continuous food supply and security program has eased the immediate burden of hunger, allowing the community to focus on a new kind of nourishment – the hunger for education. The earthquake’s devastation left the main building of Shree Janabikas Aadharbhut Vidyalaya in ruins, jeopardizing the education of countless children.
Determined to rebuild the school and reestablish the children’s access to formal education, Warming Hearts took a significant step forward. A highly productive DPAC meeting was held in Khalanga, Jajarkot. This crucial gathering brought together representatives from key organizations: World Vision Advocacy Forum, Volunteer Crops Nepal, and government bodies from Jajarkot itself. Through collaborative efforts and shared vision, a concrete plan for the school’s reconstruction is taking shape.
While the permanent structure is being planned, Warming Hearts isn’t waiting to act. Recognizing the urgency of education, we’re constructing a temporary Learning Center at Nalghad-7, Shree Janabikash Aadharbhut Vidhalaya, Khalanga. This temporary space will ensure that the children’s education continues uninterrupted.
