The reflection of their innocent smiles on the glossy surfaces further illuminated the shining, glittering spark of the gift wrappers. Christmas was glad as it embraced these courageous children battling cancer. These are the children within whom the fiercest will to live roars.
These are the children with the most beautiful dreams, the most expressive smiles, and the warmest hopes. These are the children who’ve heard the voice of lively angels amidst the noises of radiation therapy machines. These are children who understand the importance of their families – the importance of love, life, and care. These are children who wake up listening to their mothers cry. They’re the children who have been thrown into the depths of cries, sobs, and despair. These are the children who are forced to battle cancer.
During special moments like Christmas, and indeed every day, they deserve gifts and recognition for demonstrating such incredible courage in the face of adversity. They deserve to play with exciting toys, taste the sweetest cakes, and see colorful fireworks. With caring and compassionate nurses, supportive families, and brave children, Warming Hearts conducted a Christmas celebration and collected the smiles, laughter, and joy of the children as rewards. This celebration was not only for Christmas but also for the bravery of the children fighting cancer and their unwavering faith in life.
